Introducing Know Weigh, the application invented to assist the Crude Oil driver in maximizing the crude oil load on the trailer without overloading and breaking the law. As any crude oil driver can attest, crude oil weight can vary widely based on the gravity of the oil. In order to be able to haul the maximum possible load without risking an overweight citation, the driver must consult a chart, if one is available, and make several calculations. Know Weigh saves time and assists the driver by providing an easy way to arrive at the maximum load by simply entering the gravity of the oil.
The Driver sets up the application by simply entering the empty weight of the tractor/trailer, the maximum legal weight, and tank capacity. The app remembers this info entered at initial setup.
At the well site, after the oil gravity is established, the driver simply enters the gravity into the Know Weigh app, which instantly calculates the maximum amount of oil, in both gallons and barrels that can be legally loaded on the truck.
